Laboratory

Healthpoint mobile laboratory units are adaptive to provide an offsite, process-ready solution for advanced applications at specified biological safety levels. They are custom-built to accommodate the needs and services offered by the project at hand.

Models suitable to the mobile laboratory units:

The mobile facility is engineered and constructed to meet or exceed the international guidelines for BSL-2/3 laboratories.

EcoCare standalone mobile laboratory can serve a wide range applications related to infectious disease surveillance, testing, public health research, epidemic response mobilization and biosecurity.

As the name indicates this unit can be used for additional space based on requirements, or it can also serve as a consultation room, sample collection/accession area, or can be added to a larger facility to provide additional laboratory services or any additional relevant functionality as needed.

A semi-permanent unit which is utilized for an extended period of time as part of a larger mobile healthcare facility, i.e., multiple mobile units collocated to form a larger facility. In other words, a semi-permanent, long-term use unit is an integrated, interconnected, multi-module layout that can serve as a fully functional laboratory for general and advanced applications at a specific biosafety level.

The mobile laboratory solutions can effectively replace brick and mortar, be equally efficient, and deployed across nations on an accelerated timeline.

The basic process phases

1. Pre-analytic

This phase will include specimen collection, handling, and accessioning. Specimen accessioning will include the following: samples received, sorted, labelled with barcoded labels, and entered into the Laboratory Information System (LIS). We ensure that the pre-analytical phase must have rigorous control measures to avoid any errors that would affect the steps downstream.

2. Analytic

This phase includes the processing of samples for diagnostic testing, i.e., sample preparation and required analyses that ultimately provide results.

3. Post-analytic

This phase culminates in the production of a final value, result, and a laboratory report, all within the promised turnaround time (TAT).

Biosafety Level

EcoCare mobile laboratories for molecular diagnostic testing have bio safety level (BSL) 2 or 3, and biological safety cabinets (BSC) of 2 or 3. EcoCare mobile laboratories always use BSC 2 or higher for procedures that can generate aerosols, such as sample aliquoting or dilution, nucleic acid extraction, and vortexing.
